DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

Set in the vast landscape of Nevada desert. It was essential for me to have the visual landscape a distinct identity on its own.

The initial vision came to me when I was in middle school while I was laying in my bed. It came as a vision/image of a horse galloping in the vast horizon. A contrast of a meekness of a young girl, and the might of a horse. This image stayed with me over the years, and the entire story and scenes were built around this one image.

I wanted the audience to feel the tension between longing to run free, and the struggle to master what cannot be tamed. The line between fear and faith.
